Birmingham’s ICC has been chosen to host the Associations UK Congress and Expo 2019 for the first time later this year.
Leaders from across a spectrum of disciplines will experience a range of workshop and expert briefings, and hear success stories from some of the industry’s best talent. They will also get the chance to hear advice and solutions during the two-day event on December 16 and 17.
The programme has been researched with, and designed for, people responsible for strategy, leadership, events, membership, communications, marketing, education, professional development, technologies, CRM, and automation.
Linda Best, association account director at the ICC, said: “This is the perfect occasion for associations from across the UK to come together to share learnings and best practice, and the ICC team are proud to host such an influential event."
Kelly Haslehurst, head of marketing at the ICC and Vox, said: “This will be a welcome opportunity to showcase to associations organisers the ICC’s credentials for events of all shapes and sizes.
"Our multi-million-pound investment programme has included the refurbishment of our halls and meeting Rooms, plus the enhancement of wayfinding, Wi-Fi, lighting and bathroom facilities."
Damian Hutt, executive director of the Association of Association Executives, organisers of the Associations Congress said: "We are delighted to be bringing this congress for association executives and event organisers to the ICC.
"I have personally been very impressed with all the refurbishment at the ICC, the very professional support of the events and catering team, and the extensive work on the whole centre of Birmingham which makes it a delightful location for the event to be based."
