NEC strikes gold at national awards

The NEC has won gold at the 2019 UK Customer Satisfaction Awards (UKCS) - the only customer service awards run by the professional body for customer service.

The awards recognise organisations and individuals that have implemented successful customer service strategies. Organisations from across the UK can enter one of 14 categories and are judged by industry experts, business leaders and academics.

This year, the NEC has won the category for 'Best Customer Service Collaboration Award', following its work with Imagine Exhibitions last Summer.  The teams worked together to run Real Bodies The Exhibition from 8 June – 19 August 2018 at the NEC, a major piece of innovative content for the venue.

Entry into the 2019 UK Customers Satisfaction Awards supported the NEC's 2018/19 awards strategy in seeking recognition in all aspects of the venue's outstanding event delivery; complimenting the event sector’s own award ceremonies, to also nationally recognised awards specialising in innovation, collaboration and customer service.

NEC General Manager, Linda Ritchie, said: “To be the first exhibition venue to win this nationally recognised, non-industry award is a real honour, and is a fantastic showcase of our venue’s credentials up against other national brands and companies.  It also demonstrates how much we value our customers and our passion for delivering outstanding live experiences across the entire year.

“As the NEC campus transforms into a 24/7 destination, we are committed to maintaining these high levels of service, through actively creating collaborative business partnerships and developing innovative content.  The Real Bodies product was a great demonstration of this; engaging content that not only generated beneficial commercial opportunities, but increased customer dwell time on campus.”

This year’s UKCS awards ceremony took place at the Hilton on Park Lane.
