Property experts reach the final

Residential and commercial property specialist Centrick is celebrating after being shortlisted in two categories for the finals of one of the UK property sector’s most prestigious awards events.

Centrick has been announced among the finalists for Property Week’s RESI Awards in the Property Manager of the Year and Sales and Lettings Agency of the Year categories.

Managing director Phil Johns said: “To be shortlisted in not one but two categories at the RESI Awards is an amazing feeling and proves that our company values of innovation, hard work and providing outstanding customer service to all our customers and clients, have really paid off.

“The team have shown what it means to be a Centrick team player throughout the challenges of the last few years and these nominations are their success and a real reflection of all the effort and work they put in every day.”

The RESI Awards has a prestigious and rigorous two-stage judging process, made up of 48 influential figures from the residential property world and beyond.

Group chairman James Ackrill said: “To be shortlisted alongside world-renowned and well-known brands such as Foxtons, Savills, JLL and FirstPort, is truly an honour and the culmination of years of hard work by the entire team. Since founding the business over 17 years ago, we’ve overcome many hurdles along the way but nothing has stopped the team's hard work and dedication.”

In a period of huge uncertainties, due to Covid-19 and the cladding crisis, Centrick’s sales and lettings team has shown enormous resilience and determination, while always upholding outstanding customer service standards. Throughout all the challenges it has delivered outstanding success. Indeed, 2021 was the team’s strongest year yet, undertaking a massive 1,372 lets - up by 617 from the previous year.

Centrick’s building and estate management director Sarah Hammond said: “The year 2021 was pivotal in the evolution of our property management team. Existing clients demonstrated confidence in our ability and service levels, evidenced by their instructions to manage further developments.

“This, and the many new clients that chose Centrick, resulted in 72 developments coming under our management, with a secured pipeline of 167 new schemes due to come under our wing in 2022.”

Bringing together over 1,300 key players in the residential market including leading developers, landlords, house builders, operators, investors, financiers and agencies and local authorities, the awards will be hosted on May 11 at The Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair.
