Property consultancy Johnson Fellows has launched a search for two degree apprentices as the firm continues its commitment to nurturing young talent in the property industry.
The company, based in Birmingham, is launching an Assistant Surveyor Apprenticeship Programme that blends structured learning with practical, on-the-job experience to give aspiring property professionals the knowledge, qualifications and confidence to build a career in property and surveying.
The successful apprentices will rotate through various property sector specialisms within the firm, including lease advisory, property management and valuation, whilst receiving invaluable mentorship from the company’s partners - all while studying part-time towards an RICS-accredited degree in Real Estate.
Apprentices will assist with preparing valuations, lease advisory projects and property inspections, while developing skills in managing property portfolios and liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors across the retail, industrial and office sectors.
Paul Milsom, joint senior partner at Johnson Fellows, said: “As the UK property sector faces an ongoing skills shortage, investing in and retaining new talent couldn’t be more important for securing the future of the industry. Our apprenticeship programme will provide two budding chartered surveyors with the opportunity to earn while they learn, while receiving all the skills, guidance and opportunities they need to build a successful career in the property sector.
“We’re really proud to be playing our part in addressing the skills gap, helping to shape the next generation of industry leaders, and are looking forward to seeing what talent is out there.”
