New auction valuer could be on TV

The prospect of appearing on the BBC1’s Homes Under the Hammer could soon become a reality for whoever gets a new position being offered by Bond Wolfe.

The Midlands property auctioneer is looking to recruit a new auction valuer to help the ongoing success of the company.

The company currently runs seven live-streamed auctions a year and has recorded well over £1 billion worth of sales since launching its auction wing in 2019.

As well as private sellers, Bond Wolfe acts for several public bodies including Birmingham City Council, Walsall Council, West Midlands Police and various housing associations.

The auctions team has now built up a database of well over 150,000 people, with bidders from all over the world logging on to compete for prime properties, and the new auction valuer role would be based in Bond Wolfe’s Birmingham office, working across the Midlands.

Aimee Scott, associate director and head of HR at Bond Wolfe, explained that properties the company markets are regularly targeted by TV property shows.

“This is an exciting opportunity to join the number one property auction house in the Midlands. Bond Wolfe has a strong reputation built on trust, results and long-standing relationships, where we believe in a ‘traditional values and modern solutions’ approach.

“This job will include taking part in filming days and media opportunities, including Homes Under the Hammer and Bond Wolfe social media.

“We regularly sell around 90% of the lots we offer and, despite our market-leading position, we have retained a family feel and a down-to-earth culture.

“We are looking for someone who currently works as an auction valuer, estate agent, sales negotiator or similar client-facing property role who thrives on winning instructions, building strong client relationships and closing deals."

The auction valuer would manage their own diary and property pipeline, supported by an experienced team across administration, marketing, and leadership. As well as generating new business, conducting property valuations and viewings, the auction valuer will support marketing activity, assist with bid applications and attend various networking and industry events.
