New MD checks in at city hotel

A new managing director has been appointed at one of Birmingham’s most iconic hotels.

Natalie Woon has now joined The Cube Hotel where she will take control of the day-to-day running of not only the hotel, but also the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill – the hotel and restaurant are located on levels 23, 24 and 25 respectively.

With extensive experience in the hospitality sector, Natalie, who also oversees The Orchid Hotel in Bournemouth, is looking forward to consolidating the venue’s position, with ambitions to make it one of the best in the UK.

Sold to the Caskade Group in July 2022 for £12.5 million, the venue includes the 52-bedroom hotel plus the Marco Pierre White restaurant, private dining and cocktail lounges.

Natalie said: “The Cube Hotel - as well as the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse - have great reputations across the hospitality and hotel sector.

“It’s a phenomenal venue and is a very well-balanced business when you combine the different elements such as the hotel, meeting and events facilities, the restaurant and wedding reception offering."
