A multi award-winning health and safety consultancy has expanded its team to cope with an ever-growing demand for its services.
Acorn Safety Services helps clients with hundreds of projects across the UK every year and has recently opened a new office in Birmingham to add to its existing offices in Northampton and London.
Now it has expanded its team of experts further with the appointment of health and safety consultant Scott Murrin.
Scott, who is highly qualified and has nearly a decade of experience of working in the industry, developed his passion for health and safety following a tragic incident in his teens.
He said: “When I was 16, I was on holiday with some friends and one of them fell off a balcony. He was in a coma for six weeks and was paralysed down one side. Fortunately, he recovered but it was a horrendous time.
“The barrier along the balcony wasn’t high enough and I remember thinking more could have been done to prevent the accident happening. Ever since then I’ve been passionate about improving health and safety and keeping people safe.
“One of the many things that attracted me to Acorn Safety Services is how quickly it responds to clients. Some organisations can take six weeks to get a report back, but we get health and safety reports to our clients within 48 hours. This is very exciting because if a client needs help with health and safety they can’t normally afford to wait.”
