Firm sets sights on £250m turnover

Fast-growing flooring distributor Likewise Group plc has reported another surge in revenue as the company announces it will soon have the capacity in place to grow sales revenue to over £250 million.

In the financial year to December 31 2025, Likewise announced a sales increase of 9% to £163.1 million, up from £149.8 million in the previous year.

But the Birmingham-based business is now reporting sales up on a like-for-like basis by 16.5% in the year to date, with sales during May up 19.1% on the same month last year.

Tony Brewer, chief executive of Likewise Group plc, said that by the end of 2026 the company will have the capacity to exceed £250 million turnover as Likewise continues to make exponential gains in market share.

The extension to the company’s Newport premises will commence operations as planned in July, creating extra storage and cutting capacity. Group business Valley Wholesale Carpets has increased cutting capacity in Derby to further develop growth.

In May, Likewise acquired a further warehousing unit in Leeds - a second distribution centre in Yorkshire.

And legal due diligence is currently underway on the freehold purchase of a 60,000 sq ft high bay distribution centre in the East Midlands.

To service this rapid expansion, Likewise has continued to purchase new additional and replacement delivery trucks, with the total fleet set to exceed 160 vehicles during 2026.

Tony Brewer said: “With the benefit of the existing infrastructure established in the last five years, plus the investments which will all be completed before the end of 2026, Likewise Group plc will have the capacity to materially exceed £250 million sales revenue.

“These strategic investments leave the group in a strong position and well poised to capitalise on the significant market opportunities before us.

“Notwithstanding the global uncertainties, the board is confident of achieving current market expectations for the financial year ending 31 December 2026 and is very focused on improving operating margins to enable further investment and development.

“We are very proud of the excellent management and teams of people we have around the UK, who with the support of our suppliers and customers are building a really strong business. We have a clear focus and strategy on what to achieve over the next five years and beyond. We very much appreciate the commitment and support of all stakeholders.”

Founded in 2018, Likewise Group plc supplies independent flooring retailers and contractors across the UK through 13 strategically located centres.
