Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners-listed practice MSB Solicitors has appointed Simon Craddock as senior associate solicitor as the firm’s Birmingham office continues to grow.
Simon brings a wealth of experience to MSB, following a career that spans more than 30 years. He is widely regarded as one of the leading experts in international family law and cross-border children work, in which he has worked on complex, high-stakes cases involving jurisdictional disputes and international child abduction.
His addition to MSB’s cross-border team, alongside seasoned specialists Gemma Kelsey, Dr Emma Palmer and Katie Camozzi, makes MSB’s team one of the of the most experienced in the country.
Simon is seen as a go-to specialist in Hague Convention child abduction proceedings. He has an unrivalled experience in urgent cross-border matters including cases in non-Hague Convention countries and he has also sat on the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit’s specialist panel since 2001 as well as being a founding member of the Child Abduction Lawyers Association.
Simon’s expertise is frequently called upon as an expert witness on English family law in overseas proceedings, which reflects his standing on the international stage. He has been consistently recognised as a leading practitioner by both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 over a sustained period and he is a Resolution-accredited specialist in private children law and international child abduction law.
A trained mediator and collaborative lawyer, Simon also advises on complex financial remedy cases with a strong international dimension, particularly those involving multi-jurisdictional assets and intricate questions of forum.
