Annual eCommerce event returns

A one-day eCommerce event is taking place at the ICC in Birmingham on October 1 – and there are still tickets available.

Linn Academy has been created to unite online retailers in a thriving community setting, where they can share knowledge and gain expertise.

This year, #LA2019 is set to welcome more than 1,000 online sellers, global eCommerce experts and well-known speakers to what will be the seventh annual eCommerce event.

Nat Libby of Linn Academy said: “As you grow your online business, it can be difficult to know whether or not you’re doing the right thing.

“No one should feel like this when there’s so much knowledge available within the industry.

“Headline guest speaker Karren Brady will share personal insights into business management and entrepreneurial success in a live interview and Q&A session, covering areas such as persistence, networking and keeping up with the books.

“Meanwhile Matthew Syed, journalist and author of Black Box Thinking, will be joining the line-up to talk through the concept of his book and how to drive success by identifying areas where you may be going wrong.

“We also can’t wait to bring Marcus Sheridan – the most energetic and exciting voice in online sales growth – to the Academy Stage. Marcus will be dishing out easy-to-follow tips to attract more customers so that you can take your business to new heights.

“Another big voice taking to the Academy Stage is Danny McMillan, our favourite International Amazon Expert. He’ll be joined by a panel of successful Amazon sellers to discuss the key challenges and chances affecting online retailers in 2020.”

Nat added that this year Linn Academy attendees can join a variety of eCommerce workshops throughout the course of the day to gain practical advice and ask the questions that matter to their business.

Each of these expert sessions will be hosted by a specialist in their respective field, with spaces limited to no more than 40 Premium and VIP Pass holders.

Examples of such workshops include:

Nat continued: “Whether that’s having a conversation with our sponsors, such as eBay, Amazon, Shopify and BigCommerce, or saying hello to our world-class speakers and eCommerce experts, you can be sure that there will be plenty of people to discuss your business goals with.

“We’re also big on helping you network in a fun and friendly atmosphere – without the added anxiety of maintaining a high-level conversation if that’s not your cup of tea.

“Why not challenge your new business connections to a fierce ping pong battle to break the ice? Or perhaps you’d like to make use of the exclusive photo booth to remember the day?

“And, after a day of gaining tons of practical insights and expert advice, make sure to end the evening at our VIP After Party. Get your groove on to live funk band, Bill Ding & The Skyscrapers, and help yourself to the open bar and decadent selection of buffet food.”

*Every Linn Academy ticket includes access to two main stages, a breakout hall, an exclusive #LA2019 hoodie, support sessions, eCommerce expert panels as well as drinks, snacks and a freshly prepared lunch (all dietary requirements catered for).
