Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of three pharmacies located across Birmingham: Balsall Health Pharmacy, Shire Pharmacy and Attwood Green Pharmacy.
Balsall Health Pharmacy is a standard-hours pharmacy dispensing around 6,250 items per month. Situated on the ground floor of a medical centre on Edward Road in Balsall Heath, it benefits from steady footfall and provides a range of additional services, including the Pharmacy First scheme and flu vaccinations.
Just a few doors down on Edward Road, Shire Pharmacy also operates as a standard-hours community pharmacy dispensing 3,500 items per month and offering a similar range of additional services.
Attwood Green Pharmacy dispenses approximately 8,300 items per month and is located on the ground floor of a large, purpose-built six-storey medical centre, less than two miles away from the other pharmacies, on Bath Road in Attwood Green.
The three pharmacies were formerly owned by Sure Health Limited and were put up for sale as part of the owners’ retirement plans.
Following a confidential sales process with Carl Steer at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through David Ward at Christie Finance, the three pharmacies have been sold to buyer Mo Naheem, who now owns four pharmacies.
Carl Steer, director – Pharmacy at Christie & Co, said: "We were instructed by the owners to sell the whole group to enable retirement. It wasn’t too long after launch that interest was shown and not long after that, a sale was agreed to the eventual buyer for these three of the five branches. Birmingham and the wider West Midlands remains a hotbed of activity for pharmacy sales with demand far outstripping supply.’’
The three pharmacies were sold for an undisclosed price.
