Social purpose law firm Anthony Collins has achieved national top-tier recognition in both the Chambers Guide 2027 and the Legal 500 2027, marking the firm’s commitment to delivering excellent client services which have a positive social impact.
Of the 29 individual lawyers ranked in the Chambers Guide 2027, nine were newly-ranked practitioners, three achieved a higher ranking, and 17 retained the same ranking as last year.
In addition, Anthony Collins was ranked for 13 areas of legal expertise, achieving one new recognition in Band Five for Healthcare (Private Sector, UK wide). The firm’s Midlands expertise showed strongly with four Band One rankings for the Midlands and West Midlands, with Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Family/Matrimonial, and Social Housing all spotlighted. UK-wide rankings were achieved for Local Government, Charities, Social Housing Finance, Healthcare and Public Procurement.
Anthony Collins has also recently been recognised in the Legal 500 2027 rankings, with all five of its existing top-tier rankings retained. The firm’s top recognised legal services were in Clinical Negligence (claimant), Charities and not-for-profit, Family, Local Government, and Social Housing. The firm’s expertise in advising and supporting London’s social housing sector – both local authorities and registered providers – was ranked as tier two, up from tier three last year. The Legal 500 also recognised 29 individual lawyers, including seven new individual rankings.
The Chamber Guide 2027 and Legal 500 2027 rankings follow a successful 2026 which saw Anthony Collins named as the West Midlands’ most highly-recommended legal firm.
Matthew Wort, senior partner at Anthony Collins, said: “Being recognised in these national rankings across so many of our key client service areas is testament to the excellence of our staff and their commitment to improving lives, communities and society through their work.
