West Midlands energy consultancy Greenfields Energy Group has opened its new flagship office in Birmingham and strengthened its team with a series of appointments following a year of significant growth.
The company - which provides energy procurement, risk management and energy bureau services to businesses across the UK - is celebrating the opening of their new office in Somerset House on Temple Street in Birmingham city centre.
The office opening marks an important step in Greenfields Energy Group’s growth, giving its expanding team a permanent base in the heart of the West Midlands business community.
The move follows a strong period for the business, with Greenfields recording 69% revenue growth during the 2025/26 financial year. Growth has continued into the current year, with the business currently tracking at 128% year-on-year revenue growth.
Greenfields has also invested significantly in growing its team. Recent recruits include Eleanor Quick, who has joined as account director; Emma Gorman as technical project manager; and Tom Ward in sales support.
The appointments will take the Greenfields team to 12, with further recruitment already planned. The company expects to grow to 15 employees during the first quarter of 2027.
Liam Conway, managing director and co-founder of Greenfields Energy Group, said: “Opening our Birmingham office is a huge milestone for Greenfields and reflects just how much the business has grown.
“Birmingham was the natural choice. We work with businesses across the West Midlands and beyond, and being in the city puts us closer to clients and the wider business community. It also gives our team a great base as we move into the next stage of our development.
“The numbers are obviously something we’re proud of, but growth for us is about giving our clients access to experienced people who truly understand their business. This is particularly important as we invest more heavily in technology and AI. We see a huge opportunity to use technology to make us more efficient and want to use it to strengthen relationships, not replace them. Energy is becoming more complex, and we know that businesses still want knowledgeable people they can speak to and trust.”
Greenfields Energy Group works with businesses spending between £100,000 and £5 million annually on energy, helping them manage energy procurement, risk and ongoing energy costs.
The company has particular expertise in supporting manufacturing and industrial businesses, where energy can represent a significant operational cost and changes in production, market prices and regulation can have a material impact on financial performance.
The Birmingham expansion will support Greenfields’ plans to increase its work with businesses across the West Midlands.
