EY has strengthened its Midlands practice with two senior partner appointments - Tony King joins as partner in Data Risk and AI within the Technology Risk practice, focusing on government and healthcare clients, while restructuring specialist Kris Aspin will lead the Midlands Restructuring practice and joins from EY’s Edinburgh office.
Tony brings 23 years of professional services experience and a strong track record in growing high‑performing teams. In his previous role, he built a data risk and AI practice from its start‑up phase into a national team of more than 40 people, delivering revenues exceeding £10m across the UK.
In his new position, he will focus on enabling clients to have confidence in their data — ensuring it is high quality and accessible to those who need it — while also helping them unlock greater value from their information through AI-driven solutions for more confident decision making.

Kris Aspin is an experienced restructuring partner with extensive regional and national market experience. He has spent 15 years working for EY in Manchester and a further six years in Scotland, advising on some of the firm’s largest financial restructuring situations, as well as a broad range of mid‑market engagements. He is particularly experienced in the industrials and energy sectors.
Kris will lead the Midlands Restructuring practice, strengthening its strong turnaround and insolvency offering and working closely with colleagues across the UK to support clients facing financial stress.
