Birmingham-based agency Blackberry Events has been named as a finalist for the title of Event Agency of the Year.
The news comes shortly after the appointment of their new director and former Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year, Georgie Butler.
Georgie has been with the organisation for over five years and has taken on the role to oversee their acceleration in growth within the meetings and events industry.
Blackberry Events are a midlands-based event management company that has over a decade of experience in planning unforgettable experiences for a wide range of public, private and corporate sector clients. They are experts in delivering a variety of imaginative event formats from conferences and awards, to roadshows and community events.
In November, the Bromsgrove-based agency will take to nearby venue The Belfry along with hundreds of event and hospitality professionals from across the country for a night of glamour and recognition in the new and much anticipated Masters Suite shortly after its grand opening.
Director Georgie Butler said: “Being named finalists at the Meeting Industry Association Awards is a great honour.
"As our team is growing rapidly this is a great motivator for further success. We wish everyone in the finals the best of luck and we look forward to soaking up inspiration, connecting with other likeminded professionals and celebrating excellence in our amazing industry."
The Meeting Industry Association annual awards ceremony is a staple in the meetings and events industry calendar and sees awards presented across 15 categories praising individuals, venues, suppliers, destinations and agents. The shortlisting news comes shortly after event manager Rae Rodien was nominated for Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year.
